Welcome to the Center for Resiliency

Every piece of our communities defines disaster and resilience from their own unique experiences and perspectives. Our communities are made up of local government, nonprofits, industry, business, healthcare, and community groups that are also made up of real people with real needs and real challenges of disaster. As a part of the Southeast Texas community, and in support of the Â鶹ӳ»Ó°Òô mission, the Center for Resiliency strives to provide service, outreach, and education for improved resilience to disaster through community-based research and service to uncover the needs of each part of the community in supporting the community system when adversity is at its highest. Our goal is that the work we do can be applied in the Southeast Texas community and serve as an example to communities across the Gulf Coast region, from Texas to Florida, for ncreased community resilience to disaster.
