What We Do

The Engineering Ambassadors Program adds a student component to the College of Engineering recruiting process, employer recruitment, and community activities.

Student Ambassadors assist in participating in the following events:

  • Assisting with area school career and college day events
  • Giving prospective student campus tours
  • Work academic open house and talk to prospective students
  • Participate in various engineering panels
  • Assisting with Engineering Career Fair
  • Assisting with Industrial Partnership seminars
  • Greeting advisory council members at the executive luncheon
  • First Year Math Bootcamp

Ambassador Requirements

  1. Must be at least a sophomore (>30 hours)
  2. Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
  3. Must be a member of the student professional organization in their discipline
  4. Positive, outgoing personality
  5. Enthusiastic about engineering and Âé¶¹Ó³»­Ó°Òô
  6. Must be able to devote a minimum of 15 hours of service each semester, and must volunteer at first-year math bootcamp. 
  7. Must be able to lead a minimum of 2 COE tours each semester
  8. Must be able to attend monthly Ambassador meetings
  9. Must be willing to attend a training session before starting as an Ambassador
  10. Must represent the College of Engineering and Âé¶¹Ó³»­Ó°Òô well

Franky is the President of the Student Engineering Council, along with being a part of American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE). His advice to incoming students would be to get involved and volunteer as much as you can.

Madison is the president of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) chapter at Âé¶¹Ó³»­Ó°Òô, and the Social Media Coordinator for the Student Engineering Council (SEC). Madison is also a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) and Engineers Without Borders (EWB). Her favorite place on campus is her dorm room, where she calls home!

Jewell is a part of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Chi Epsilon, and Chi Alpha. Her favorite place on campus is the rec center, due to the community there and being able to be physically active.

Habi is the treasurer for the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), and a part of the Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers (SASE) and the American Institute of Chemical Engineering (AIChE). Her favorite experience within the college has been serving as a camp counselor during all 3 Engineering summer camps!

Bryce is the president for Robotic Cardinals and an active member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). His favorite experience with the COE has been representing Âé¶¹Ó³»­Ó°Òô at the VEX Worlds robotics competition.

Kennedi is the Vice President for the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), the Vice President of Communications & Campus Relations for Zeta Tau Alpha, and an active member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). Her favorite place to be on campus is the Student Setzer Center, where she can meet new friends.
