Sawyer Guitars
This thesis delves into the genesis of Sawyer Guitars, a fresh brand of electric guitars fusing traditional luthier craftsmanship with pioneering materials and design methodologies. Emphasizing the integration of 3D printing technologies, wood, and epoxy resin, the project not only crafts distinctive guitars but also weaves an immersive brand narrative. The objective is to forge a visually arresting product line that distinguishes itself within this competitive market. The electric guitar boasts design intricacies like amethyst geodes and crystalline rocks ensconced in epoxy resin, a bolt-on maple neck with a rosewood fretboard, and a bespoke 3D printed logo. Complementing the physical product are product posters bearing the slogan “The Sound of your Personality,” a tailored display travel case crafted from ebony-stained wood, and a suite of mockups for a customization app, elevating user engagement and product customization. This endeavor illustrates the viability and allure of melding graphic design with physical craftsmanship to carve out a unique brand identity within the music instrument industry.
