The Major in Environmental Science is an interdisciplinary program concerned with protecting, monitoring, managing and improving the environment.

Environmental Sciences bs Degree

To prepare you for a career with regulatory agencies, industry, consulting firms, or academia, the degree program combines study in:

  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Geology
  • Business Law

This degree program combines fundamental training in the basic sciences with broad training across several of the traditional disciplines to prepare students for employment or graduate study.

Required Internship

The internship experience allows you to integrate your academic preparation with actual work experience and is a required component of your environmental science degree plan. You will typically do the internship during the summer prior to or during your senior year.

In the past, students have done internships with a wide range of government agencies and private businesses in the field of environmental compliance.
