Dr. M. K. Hamza is a professor of clinical mental health counseling at Â鶹ӳ»Ó°Òô in the Department of Counseling. He is also a consulting forensic neuropsychologist. He is an educator, researcher, cognitive scientist and mental health professional. He is currently the chairman of the Syrian American Medical Society Mental Health Committee, which includes professionals from the US, as well as outside the US serving four significant refugee zones (Syria, Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey). His publications include refereed scholarly writings, presentations and speeches delivered at reputable organizations including medical, psychiatric and legal conferences and meetings.

Dr. Hamza published extensively at the local, national and international level in the areas of creativity, psychology, computing science, clinical mental health and forensics.
Serve a number of college committees, the community at the regional, national, and international level. He is also chairman of mental health services to SAMS (Syrian American Medical Society) serving refugees internationally as well as serving disastrous situations nationally.
