Anna Dimy Nguyen is a clinical instructor for the Department of Counseling. Before becoming a clinical instructor at Â鶹ӳ»­Ó°Òô in 2013, she worked in the Beaumont Independent School District for 14 years in various capacities: pre-Kindergarten and ESL teacher, middle and high school counselor, high school assistant principal and special education counselor. 

At the post-secondary level, Dr. Nguyen worked as an adjunct instructor for Â鶹ӳ»­Ó°Òô, Beaumont, Texas, as well as for Louisiana College in Pineville, La. At Louisiana College, she worked as an assistant professor, director of the ESL division and principal of the Academy of Accelerated Studies. She has taught or been a mentor for a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses in the areas of pedagogy and teacher preparation, ESL, psychology, counseling and special education.

Dr. Nguyen is a graduate faculty member for the counseling department. She has served as a graduate faculty member for the teacher education and counseling and special populations department in the past. She has taught both graduate and undergraduate special education and counseling courses. Dr. Nguyen helped develop and teaches numerous online special education courses. She also advises graduate students, especially those interested in becoming school counselors. In the past, Dr. Nguyen served on the department’s Admission Appeal Committee (chair of the committee) and volunteered her assessment services at the Cardinal Community Clinic and local school districts. Currently, she serves on the college’s graduation committee and as a faculty marshal for the university and college commencement ceremonies.
