Admission Requirements

An applicant matched to the Â鶹ӳ»Ó°Òô DI/M.S. does not warrant admission to the university. Applicants who have been offered a spot to the program must apply to Â鶹ӳ»Ó°Òô and be fully admitted before the first class day of class in August. An applicant matched to the DI/M.S. must apply to the university as a graduate student in the M.S. in nutrition program.

Completion of the LU M.S. in Nutrition program or a previous master's degree is required for the completion of the Dietetic Internship/M.S. program. The application process for graduate admission to the university is outlined on the Â鶹ӳ»Ó°Òô. The department admission requirements for the Master of Science degree are:

  • Candidates for admission must meet all the admission requirements of the College of Graduate Studies and specific departmental requirements and approval.
  • Undergraduate cumulative GPA of 2.5 (institutional bachelor’s degree)
  • International students should also consult the Office of International Studies for admission requirements to the university.

Prior Learning Experiences

The Â鶹ӳ»Ó°Òô dietetic internship program does not accept prior learning experience or direct assessment for any dietetic internship rotations or supervised practice experience hours.

Up to six hours of applicable NUTR graduate credit courses completed prior to the DI/M.S. program can be transferred to the M.S. in nutrition program for two of the three elective courses with approval by the Office of Graduate Studies.
